Mommy Hates Cooking: Lesson Learned

Lesson Learned

This is 'Mommy Hates Cooking'. I am in no way an expert on cooking, and may not even be a beginner. Maybe a pre-beginner! I am using this blog as a way to share my tips on cooking from the perspective of a busy, working mom who really does not like to cook; however, I do not have a choice! Most of the recipes I fix have very few ingredients and are simple because like I said I'm learning. The majority actually turn out really good; however, there are a few that just don't!

When my husband and I were newlyweds, we learned to love cooking pizza's at home! This is a picture of the monstrosity that I came home to one night where my husband used just about every piece of meat and veggies we had in the house to make a pizza! He hid everything with a mound of cheese! I could not even eat it because it had so much on it! He was so proud of it, he took a picture!

We have not made a pizza at home in a few years, but I found a great pizza recipe using picante sauce as a base. I started off cooking this fabulous pizza, which smelt so good. Then, I got side tracked and completely forgot about it! Let's just say, I could have refurbished it as a Frisbee!

Lesson Learned: Find out how where the oven timer is located and learn to use it!

I do this with Mason's grilled cheeses all the time- they make great discs!

Oh! One's actually burning right now... crap.

Oh yes I've done that with grilled cheese too! I need a new skillet though!

Hope it wasn't too burnt for Mason :)
